EXCURSION AND GUIDED TOURS IN THE PO DELTA
We recommend boat excursion to the Po delta with fisherman Alberto Barini. He will guide you for 3 hours of boat trip. You will discover among the most important naturalistic area of Europe.
The excursion depart from Santa Giulia di Porto Tolle, near one of the few remaining typical “floating bridges” and you can go exploring the numerous canes thicket by boat.
During the boat excursion in the Po delta you will be fascinated by the encounter of numerous birds (herons, ducks, crawfish, cormorants, owls, buzzards) and mammals.
Many fishermen live in villages bordering the Po Delta. Goro and Gorino, are two fishing locations, in particular the fishing of clams.
During the visit you will turn towards the “Island of Love”, characterized by the Goro Lighthouse, 22 meters high and featuring a 10-mile light beam lantern. Not far away the Old Lantern, an ancient lighthouse built in 1864, is today a naturalistic observatory.
